These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Oceanedge Marine Services Inc. website, online services, and Oceanedge ERP/AERP systems.
By accessing or using our website or authorized Oceanedge systems, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the applicable service.
1. About Oceanedge Marine Services
Oceanedge Marine Services Inc. ("Oceanedge", "we", "us", or "our") is a marine surveying and marine services company based in British Columbia, Canada.
Our services may include marine surveys, vessel inspections, cargo services, compliance and inspection support, reporting, and related marine services.

2. Website Use
You may use our website for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You must not:
- Use the website for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with the operation or security of the website
- Introduce malicious code, malware, or harmful software
- Attempt to access another person's account or information
- Copy or reproduce our website or proprietary materials without authorization
- Use our systems in a manner that could damage, disable, overload, or impair them
3. Oceanedge ERP/AERP
Oceanedge may provide an ERP/AERP system for authorized business users.
The ERP may provide functionality including:
- Customer management
- Vessel management
- Job management
- Survey records
- Survey reports
- Invoices
- Credit notes
- Expenses
- Accounting records
- Financial reports
- Document management
- Cloud document storage
- Google Drive integration
Access to the ERP is provided only to authorized users.
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for activities conducted through their account.
4. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information where required
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Use the system only for legitimate business purposes
- Protect confidential business information
- Notify Oceanedge of suspected unauthorized access
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations
- Not share access credentials with unauthorized persons
If you believe your account has been compromised, notify Oceanedge as soon as reasonably possible.
5. Google Drive Integration
The Oceanedge AERP may provide an optional integration with Google Drive.
By connecting Google Drive, you authorize the ERP to access the Google Drive information and files permitted through Google's authorization process.
The integration may be used to:
- Create folders
- Upload invoices
- Upload credit notes
- Upload survey reports
- Store supporting documents
- Retrieve authorized documents
- Synchronize authorized documents
- Display authorized Google Drive documents within the ERP
Google Drive access is subject to Google's own terms and policies.
Oceanedge does not control Google's services and cannot guarantee the availability, performance, or continued operation of Google Drive.
6. Google Account Authorization
The Google Drive integration uses Google's authorization mechanisms.
Oceanedge does not request or require your Google password.
You may disconnect the Google Drive integration or revoke Google's authorization through your Google Account.
If Google access is revoked, expires, or becomes unavailable, some ERP document-management functions may no longer operate until the integration is reconnected.
7. Documents and Data
Documents uploaded to or managed through the ERP remain subject to the applicable ownership and contractual arrangements between Oceanedge and its customers or other parties.
Users must not upload documents that they do not have the legal right or authorization to store or process.
You are responsible for ensuring that documents uploaded to the ERP or connected Google Drive account are handled in accordance with applicable confidentiality, privacy, copyright, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
8. Accuracy of Information
Oceanedge makes reasonable efforts to maintain accurate information within its systems.
However, information displayed through software systems may contain errors, omissions, delays, or technical limitations.
Users should verify important information before relying upon it for operational, financial, legal, regulatory, or safety-critical purposes.
Where Oceanedge provides marine survey reports, inspection reports, calculations, or other professional services, those services are governed primarily by the applicable engagement, appointment, quotation, contract, report, or other written agreement.
9. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the Oceanedge website, branding, logos, designs, software, text, graphics, documents, and other materials developed by Oceanedge are owned by or licensed to Oceanedge Marine Services Inc.
You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, license, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit Oceanedge proprietary materials without prior written authorization, except where permitted by law.
Customer-provided documents and information remain subject to the rights of their respective owners.
10. Confidentiality
Oceanedge recognizes that marine operations and business records may contain confidential information.
We will handle confidential business information in accordance with applicable contractual obligations, professional responsibilities, and our Privacy Policy.
Users are also responsible for protecting confidential information accessed through the ERP.
11. Third-Party Services
Our systems may depend on third-party services, including:
- Google Drive
- Google authentication services
- Cloud hosting providers
- Website hosting providers
- Accounting and financial services
- Email providers
- Payment providers
- Other technology infrastructure
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies.
Oceanedge is not responsible for interruptions or changes to third-party services outside our reasonable control.
12. Availability
We will make reasonable efforts to maintain the availability of our website and ERP systems.
However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Services may occasionally be unavailable because of:
- Maintenance
- Software updates
- Security events
- Network failures
- Hosting-provider failures
- Third-party service outages
- Google Drive or Google authentication outages
- Circumstances beyond our reasonable control
13. Security
Users must not attempt to bypass or disable security controls.
Oceanedge may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the security of our systems, information, users, customers, or business operations.
14. Suspension or Termination
Oceanedge may suspend or terminate access to an ERP account where reasonably necessary, including where:
- These Terms are violated
- Unauthorized access is suspected
- The account presents a security risk
- The account is used unlawfully
- The underlying business relationship has ended
- Access is no longer required
Where appropriate, Oceanedge may provide notice before termination.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Oceanedge Marine Services Inc. will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use the website, ERP, or third-party services.
This includes, where legally permitted, loss of data, business interruption, loss of revenue, loss of profits, or loss arising from third-party service interruptions.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
Professional marine surveying and other services provided by Oceanedge remain subject to the terms, limitations, exclusions, and conditions applicable to the specific engagement.
16. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Oceanedge Marine Services Inc. from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from:
- Unauthorized use of the systems
- Violation of these Terms
- Uploading or transmitting information without the required rights or authorization
- Misuse of the ERP or connected services
- Violation of applicable law
17. Changes to These Terms
Oceanedge may update these Terms from time to time.
Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
Your continued use of the applicable services after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada.
Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts applicable in British Columbia, unless otherwise required by law or agreed in writing.
